With simple techniques from natural lighting, leaving no trace wherever we go to wardrobe suggestions and buying eco-friendly prints from my shop, these sessions will capture the love you have for your family and this planet.

Perfect for any fussy babes, impatient toddlers or chaotic pups. You pick the location and I bring the camera.

THE PROCESS
BOOKING
Simply click on the link below to fill out details. You'll then receive a Proposal that shows your package options where you can make your selections, add in your details and share your preferred dates.
From there, you will need to sign the Contract and pay the 50% Retainer fee to confirm your session.
PLANNING
I'll follow up with my available dates to confirm and you'll be set! You'll receive guides on what to wear, how to prep your home if needed and what to expect from your session. I'll make sure to send you a heads-up reminder for your session day and open up for any last minute questions.
SESSION
It's here! I'll make sure the session runs as smoothly as possible especially if you have new babes or young kiddos present. I also try not to limit our time and let the young ones determine the amount of time we need. We'll plan for any breaks (feedings, water, etc.)
Sessions can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Delivery
You'll receive your final images within 3 weeks of our session. I know you'll be anxious to see them and I promise it'll be worth the wait.
You'll receive gallery access through an email link where you create an account and password to access the gallery.
The Gallery can then be shared, downloaded and you can purchase prints from your session.
FOllow-up
After a week, I will follow up and make sure you were able to get your final images downloaded. Here you can also ask questions about custom printed products you'd love to display in your home.
I'll also ask if you wouldn't mind sharing any kind words about our session and working with me.
Working with Rachel Lea for our family's fall photos was a dream. Frequently Asked Questions
How long is a typical session?
I prefer not to have a hard stop on my sessions. I make sure that we have captured a variety of shots and don't miss any candid moments.
Most sessions last anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours. Newborn sessions usually need to take breaks for feeding or changing so expect those to last a bit longer. Moody teens can be on the shorter time frame.
We are so uncomfortable in front of a camera…help!
Ah, this is a very common feeling. I like spending the first couple of minutes chatting, hearing about your life & stories and getting settled. I typically start with simple shots of you looking at the camera to get your jitters out and then it’s creative time. If we get stuck, I have a handy little app that I customize inspiration for each session. There might be some prompts I ask of you but this will result in authentic, emotional images that you will cherish.
What about wardrobe or location decisions?
I will share guides on what to wear and suggestions for wardrobe. I always want to make sure you are comfortable and we select outfits that coordinate with your session location and the time of year. We'll also make sure to have a great location for you and your family whether it's in your own home or at your favorite park.
What is a Personal Use License and Print License?
A Personal Use License allows you to use the images for personal use only ie. social media sharing, printing images for your home, and sharing with others. No images can be used commercially for websites, blogging or business related end uses.
A Print License is also included with your final downloads which allows you to print your images through your choice of printers. I do highly recommend if you are printing at a large scale (11x14 or larger) that you print through me to ensure archival print quality and colors are produced at a higher quality than consumer print labs.

I’ve been thinking about offering a small round of branding mini sessions this spring — intentional, simple, and designed to create versatile content without a full-day commitment.
Before I plan anything, I’d love to know:
• Would you be interested in a mini branding session?
• What type of location feels most aligned? I have a few in mind—aesthetically beautiful with lots of furniture options but about 20 min outside Twin Cities or would something more local whether studio or home setting work better?
• What days/times tend to work best for you? Likely would be in the month of April or May.
I’m imagining something thoughtful and streamlined — not rushed, not overly styled — just enough space to create content that can stretch across seasons.
