When Amy and Dave asked me if I would photograph their elopement in Paris in December, I immediately answered, “OUI!”
This photoshoot was a whirlwind weekend trip and the opportunity of a lifetime! Along with a close friend who officiated the ceremony, I flew to the city of lights to photograph this special day for this amazing couple.
The first day we spent scoping out the area near the Seine River and the grounds around the Louvre Museum and taking in the breathtaking city. We were up bright and early the next morning to capture the beautiful bride getting all dolled up. The special moments of the couple getting ready, especially Amy helping Dave with his tie, were completely unscripted and so beautifully intimate.
I knew the Louvre would be an amazing setting for this photoshoot, but I could never have imagined just how incredible these photos would be. The bride and groom’s effortless, classic style and love overflowing for each other was taken to another level against the backdrop of the exquisite Parisian scenery and gorgeous buildings around them.
The ceremony down by the Seine River on a little peninsula next to a single willow tree was the quintessential romantic moment. I found myself tearing up as the couple read vows they wrote to each other and my heart was filled with joy as they sealed them with a kiss.

And I was even able to capture some film shots too! I am drooling over these colors!
