Trip the Sunshine State

Woah has this post been a long time coming. Back in May, B and I decided to take our first real couple’s vacation and where does the nerdiest couple take a trip to? Universal Studios in Orlando of course. Wizarding World of Harry Potter was numero uno on our list and for good reason. We went from nerding out big time with wands and magic and all things Universal to rent a ticket-me-red convertible and making our way to Tampa to spend some time on the beach.

It felt like the longest trip ever (especially away from Val) but we had an amazing time together and of course, we will be taking many more trips together!  Scroll down and see all of our adventures!

Nobody told you what to do with the mug. So you just... held it.

And now you`re stiff and the photo looks like a stock image and you`re wondering why brand shoots feel awkward.

Here`s the fix:

→ Hold it close, not out
→ Gentle hands, like it`s actually more delicate
→ Look at it. Look away. Pretend to sip. Move.
→ Stop performing the mug and just use it

Props work when they give you something natural to do — not when they become the whole focus.

I walk every client through this on shoot day, which is one of the reasons brand minis work so well even if you`ve never felt comfortable in front of a camera.
